Problems

Repetitive Strain Injuries

  • Symptoms gradually worsen over a period of time and occur without a specific accident or injury.  Can be caused by repetitive work, awkward positioning or forceful movements.  Usually, symptoms gradually worsen but may suddenly worsen after a burst of activity (for example, weekend warriors) or by an episode of prolonged or unaccustomed activity (for example, working long hours to make a deadline).
  • Take our "At Risk Questionnaire"

Traumatic Injuries

  • Symptoms occur as the result of a sudden injury - a break, sprain/strain, bruise, contusion or crush

Arthritic

  • Hand pain and joint changes caused by "wear and tear" (osteoarthritis), rheumatoid arthritis or other arthritic processes

Bumps, Cysts, Cords

  • Bumps or lumps that occur spontaneously or a thickening of tissue in the palm  (for example, ganglion cysts, Dupytren's disease)
